Info for the Makeover
Hi everyone, I wanted to provide some last minute info here for anyone who isn't on the email list for the Retired Racehorse Project.
The Makeover Challenge will run Thursday-Sunday; horses show Thursday and Friday, the finals (for the top 3 competitors in each discipline) go on Saturday, and there are demonstrations, clinics, and other learning opportunities on Sunday as well as throughout the week. Fancy is scheduled to show on Friday starting at 12:30 in Group D of the 2'6" section. Tristana and Houston are showing Thursday at 3:30 in Group C of the 2'6". We will both show outdoors in the Stonelea Ring - it's a good thing we went to those outdoor shows this summer! Willowbrooke is planning to leave for the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on Wednesday, October 26 to set up and school.
We will be stabled in Barn 4, stalls 417-419; Barn 4 is on Big Barn Rd in the park (take a left at the traffic circle once you're in the park, and then take a right at Big Barn Rd). Our stabling is close to the Stonelea Ring too, so we won't have to walk too far to school or show.
Be aware that there is an entry fee for the event: $25 for the weekend or $10 per day. Exhibitors may order one free weekend pass in addition to the pass they receive as part of the registration process. Tickets can be purchased through the RRP website.
